I created this web service because I want people all over the world to experience this beautiful part of Japanese culture.

In Japan, people visit shrines on New Year’s Day, offer prayers, and draw an omikuji to predict their fortune for the coming year.

After drawing an omikuji, you may choose to make a donation, but it is completely optional. Donations are used to cover server operating costs and to develop new features and services or coffee for the developer. Typically, an omikuji costs around $1 to $2 in Japan.
